Kuta Beach Sea Turtle Conservation on Earth Day 2012

Quiksilver Indonesia Donates Rp 70 Million to Kuta Beach Sea Turtle Conservation on Earth Day 2012

On Sunday, April  21 as part of the Coca-Cola Quiksilver Earth Day program on Kuta Beach in Bali, Quiksilver’s Holly Monkman handed Mr. Gusti Ngurah Tresna from the Kuta Beach Sea Turtle Conservation a nice fat check for Rp 71,319,851 (approx $7,800 USD), which will ensure the continuation of the preservation and our enjoyment of these endangered reptiles for years to come.

“On behalf of Quiksilver and Coca-Cola I’d like to say a huge thank you Mr. Tresna for his passion and giving so much of his time help save Bali’s beach turtles and ensuring their future here in Bali,” said Quiksilver Marketing Executive SEA Holly Monkman as she handed over the check.  “And I’d also like to take this opportunity to say another big thanks to our beach cleaning team for their help in the effort to keep Bali’s beaches clean, and to our lifeguards for their hard work in keeping the beaches safe for locals and tourists alike.  Great job guys!”

The source of the funds on Sunday were from the sales of a special edition turtle design Quiksilver T-shirt, where 30% of the proceeds are donated to the KBSTC at regular intervals.
