Surf for All

Surf for All

On June 29 and 30, in Praia do Castelo - Costa da Caparica, will take place the second edition of SURF FOR ALL, an adapted surfing event which aims to provide the pleasure of sliding into the waves to people with motor, cognitive or sensory disability.

Friday, June 29, is the day dedicated to those with cognitive deficiency, and Saturday, June 30, will have the presence of participants with motor and sensory disability.

With support from Salvador Association in organizing and Quiksilver as the main sponsor, Surf For All will have the presence of 60 participants (limited number of places that were fully filled in one day) which will be accompanied by specialized supervisors and numerous volunteers who once again want to share the happiness that the sea provides.

"The feeling of riding a wave, being in the middle of the sea, even lying down and with the help of others, made me forget all my limitations."

Salvador Mendes de Almeida (Founder of the Salvador Association)

"This initiative is very important because it takes the well-being and the positive motivational side to the surfers, yes surfers, who by dint of constraints once imposed, can no longer practice Surf on regular basis. We are going to live very special and happy moments. "

Francisco Simões Rodrigues (President of the National Surfing Association)

"We are delighted to be able to participate and help in this initiative. More than the commercial value, here the cause is what really matters"

José Seabra (Quiksilver / Roxy Marketing Manager - Portugal)

SURF FOR ALL is a joint organization of DUCK DIVE Surfschool, Salvador

Association and YA!-Youth Culture Agency that relies on the sponsorship and support from the Quiksilver & Roxy Initiative and the BPI bank.
