Manu Chao singing for Surf & Hope

Lee Ann has collected a unique collection of surfboards graciously donated by prestigious surfers: Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning, Stephanie Gilmore, Jérémy Florès,... to raise money to help the children from Titanzinho favela, in Brazil, to have access to a better life through education and surf

This project is the fruit of her travels and encounters with the inhabitants of the favela, Titanzinho, located just outside of the town of Fortaleza in Brazil, the home-town of her boyfriend, André Silva.

Lee Ann was deeply affected by the misery and the many social ills (drugs, alcoholism, violence), which threaten the youngest members of society in particular. So, as a way of offering them an alternative to a delinquent lifestyle, she used her camera to help share the daily life of these forgotten faces in order to generate support and gather funds to pay surfboards to be given to children in the favela. Manu Chao came to help out and share some great moments with the kids from the favela
